Floor Tile Inspections

SDII Global (SDII) will provide structural engineers to evaluate cracked, delaminated, or otherwise damaged floor tiles to determine the cause of the damage and appropriate repair solutions.

Floor tile delamination commonly results from deficiencies in the original installation including improper surface preparation, improper mortar placement, and/or improper tile placement. Normal stresses resulting from varying thermal expansion and contraction will cause a deficiently installed tile to delaminate, and could potentially lead to physical damage of the tile (i.e. cracking).
