Microbial Remediation Monitoring & Post-Remediation Clearance Evaluation

SDII Global Corporation (SDII) provides services related to Remediation of water and microbially (mold/mildew/yeast) impacted buildings and residences, including Remediation Monitoring and Post-Remediation Clearance Evaluations.

SDII's Remediation Monitoring services involve the monitoring of a remediation project by SDII to confirm that remediation work is performed in general accordance with the recommended remediation protocol and current industry practices including the guidelines and procedures contained in the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) document "Mold Remediation in Schools and Commercial Buildings" and the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, Bureau of Environmental & Occupational Disease Epidemiology document "Guidelines on Assessment and Remediation of Fungi in Indoor Environments".

SDII offers two levels of Remediation Monitoring: Level I or Critical Phase Monitoring and Level II or Continuous Monitoring. Level I Remediation Monitoring is performed at critical phases of a remediation project including containment set-up, materials removal, and cleanup. Level II Remediation Monitoring is a daily monitoring program that encompasses each step of the remediation process through the completion of all remedial activities.

SDII also provides Clearance Evaluations to determine the effectiveness of a remediation project. The Clearance Evaluation fieldwork includes a visual site evaluation, remediation contractor or representative interview, and mycological air and/or surface sampling for subsequent laboratory analysis. SDII's determination of the effectiveness of a remediation project also includes any recommendations related to additional work or remedial activities that may need to be performed in order for the area to achieve clearance.

SDII's Remediation Monitoring service and Clearance Evaluations can be incorporated into a single, post-evaluation, service. For example, SDII may perform Level I Remediation Monitoring at critical stages of remediation and incorporate the initial Clearance Evaluation into the third (clean-up) monitoring site visit.
