Indoor Air Quality Assessments
SDII Global Corporation (SDII) provides a variety of services related to indoor air quality in commercial and residential buildings, including Microbial Evaluations, Water Intrusion Assessments, Remediation Protocols, Remediation Monitoring, Post-Remediation Clearance Evaluations, and Indoor Air Quality Assessments.
SDII's expert staff of C.I.E.s (Indoor Air Quality Association [IAQA] Certified Indoor Environmentalist), C.M.R.s (Indoor Air Quality Association [IAQA] Certified Mold Remediators), and environmental scientists and engineers perform fieldwork associated with SDII's Indoor Air Quality Assessments. Our Field Staff are fully trained and qualified to perform the following tasks:
- Tenant, owner, and/or designated representative interviews;
- Visual inspection of the interior and exterior of the building;
- Spore Trap and viable impact air samples collection at both indoor and outdoor locations for subsequent fungal analysis;
- Dust collection of suspect areas for subsequent analysis for specific indoor allergens, including: dust mites, cockroach, cat, dog, rodents;
- Isolated sampling of the air conditioning supply ducts and air conditioning return system;
- Isolated sampling of specific suspect areas (swab and/or tape lift);
- Moisture measurements of building materials located at suspect areas;
- Inspection of the attic and roof surfaces for potential roof intrusions;
- Measurements of environmental parameters, including: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and humidity;
- Inspection of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system.
Following the completion of the site visit and data collection activities, a detailed Indoor Air Quality Assessment report is prepared under the supervision of a. C.I.E. (IAQA Certified Indoor Environmentalist), C.M.R (IAQA Certified Mold Remediator) certified environmental engineer and a Ph.D. Aerobiologist/Epidemiologist. This report contains an interpretation of the laboratory analyses, environmental parameter measurements, descriptions of detected microorganisms, and walkthrough findings.
SDII provides a two-day response time from initial assignment to site visit date and a two-week turnaround time from site visit to report completion date. SDII can also accommodate emergency projects that may require rush turnaround times.
