Evaluation of Roofs

SDII Global (SDII) provides structural services related to the evaluation of roofs. SDII engineers conduct a thorough inspection of the attic space as well as the exterior portion of the roof, verifying structural integrity, in compliance with the Florida Building Code.

Distorted truss plates, long-term deflection, previous modifications, and inadequate fastening, are evaluated relative to the damage of the structure.

Inadequate flashing, aged or deteriorated roofing material, and improper weatherproofing are evaluated as a possible cause of moisture staining and water damage. SDII engineers evaluate wind, fire, and termite damage to roof structures.
