Building Valuation Services

SDII’s valuation service provides current replacement cost values, based on the actual building materials on the interior and exterior of the structure in conjunction with the construction type. Many appraisals and valuations are completed by simply allowing software systems to make assumptions related to construction materials, HVAC type and configuration, and construction types, whereas we actually identify all of those characteristics as part of our site inspections and enter those parameters directly into the industry leading BVS valuation software from Marshall & Swift/Boeckh to provide a true site specific replacement cost value.

As part of our valuation product, SDII provides building photographs, building footprint diagrams, and detailed valuation worksheets, summarizing the replacement value of each building and other insured interests on a respective property. The program is overseen by a licensed staff of general contractors and insurance adjusters, to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy for each completed valuation.

Our clients have been able to include SDII’s valuation service as part of their overall sales or value added service packages to their clients and it has proven to be very beneficial to all involved parties. The insurer and/or agency are typically able to generate additional premiums as their clients Insurance to Value Ratios are adjusted and your insured’s benefit by ensuring that they will be properly covered in the event of a major loss or catastrophic event.
